Volume 18: Ignorance is my fuel
Whore, floozy, harlot, skank, trash, disgraceful, unclean, has low morals, easy, slut...the list goes on and on. These are all names I’ve been called by those who are ignorant to my job and my Full Bloom parties. Yes, we talk about the intimate act of intercourse aka sex. No, we don’t perform the act. Yes, we encourage women to be more confident and try new things. No, we do not push the sale or make women feel uncomfortable. It is an education of love, rekindling, refueling and confidence, not just the product. My job it to inspire those who want to spice up their own relationship, strengthen their own self love and build a conversation with their significant other about their own intimate life.
If you have ever been to any of our Full Bloom Parties, you know that it is hosted with you and your friends, not mine. You have your food and beverages of choice, not mine. I’ve been told it is inspiring, educational, fun, entertaining, relatable, non judgmental, easygoing, open, and safe. Our main mission is for people to open a dialog about their intimacy, be comfortable as they are, not what they wish they were and be open to others who like something different.
Believe it or not, some of the negative comments got into my head and I doubted what I was doing for a minute. I questioned my self worth as if I were less than, because I talked and educated others about intercourse. It wasn’t until I got the best Thank You I have ever received and it really put everything into perspective and reaffirmed my goals for what I was doing. After I read her thank you, I realize my job mattered and made a difference in people’s lives. Would you believe that due to our countries sensitivities we can openly talk about killing and harming others, but still have schools that practice an abstinence policy which means they don’t have to teach their students about sex or the risks of having it? Sure you can get the basic mechanics from your friends, but what about sharing toys because they’re too expensive to use your own…it has happened. What about the peer pressure about not using a condom and the risk of pregnancy or STD? These are real life issues.
When I first started in the romance world with an MLM years ago, it was just for fun, discounts and some good laughs. Now that I’ve created my own company and present my own parties, events and shows on my own, I have actually found a bigger value in what I do. I may not put out the latest hot-off-the-press products, have a new catalog every few months or reach world wide…yet, but I have an amazing team of ladies that help me be better, strive for more, look higher and share in my vision of supporting and educating other women with their intimate lives.
There will always be nah sayers, boo-ers and haters, but if you see the value in what you’re doing like I have started to, it will be the fuel to keep you going.
As always, I love who I am, I love what I do, and I love the products I get to share with all of you. I am the creator and CEO of Full Bloom Parties and until next time, be cool, stay safe and practice your own KINK and Sexy.
I hope you enjoy, like, comment, and keep in touch with all the up-coming blogs. Ladies, if you’d like to be interviewed for your own KINK and Sexy article, be sure to message me either through social media or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll set up an interview!
